Will the new game start over from the beginning? (Tutorial Isle, Royal Vault, the original jobs, etc.?) Or will it pick up where the original left off? Will any voice acting be needed for NPCs in the new game? (If I can buy a new mic, I'd be more than happy to volunteer!) Will you be adding new zones? (Oh, how I long to see Stormfront Mountains get put in the game! Maybe somewhere around Sunstone Valley?) New playable races? (Chugawug, Changeling, elves, etc.?) Added lore? (The original had a TON of lore that got overlooked!!!) New instances? Zone phasing depending on certain questlines? (Like the Shrouded Gloam storyline?) Will the minigames be revived, as well? (Because I hated just walking up to a plant to harvest it. I missed the mix'em, match'em games!) Will combat be open-world like before the first game ended or will it be restricted to instanced combat like in the beginning? And what about censoring? Since most of the people who played the original as kids are MUCH older now, will there still be a need for censorship or will there be an optional mature language filter?
Any other similarities/differences besides the ones listed above?
Oh, and when do you predict the beta will come out? (I know this has been asked A LOT but I'm very hopeful!)

1. I don't completely understand your question but it already starts off from what was left of the packet logs. 2. I've heard there's a certain member they're going to put on trial to voice act Chatty but that is not guaranteed. I don't think there will be voice acting other than that but it's too soon to know. 3. New zones and assets can't be added into the game for various reasons. Same goes for races as of now. 4. There is definitely new lore provided by the Ambassador, Alex Realms, who feeds into the role play community. Some mini games may be revived, and others may not. 5. Combat will most likely stay the way it was because that's how it ended off in the packet logs. Basically roaming the land and stumbling across little monsters every now and then that will attack you if you get in their area. But tbh, it is uncertain if that will be added again and depends on future progress. 6. There is still censoring, but filter is being fixed so it isn't nearly as ridiculous.
For the alpha period, there has been a new feature known as OverWorld where you can build in the open but on a separate server. You can read more in the 'Alpha Release' Thread.
There is no estimated time arrival for beta nor the officially release. As of now, alpha is in the works and being worked on continuously for new upcoming updates. Sorry, but beta is no where in sight while alpha is still here, so nothing can be really said on that until progress has improved.

So basically the new game picks up where the old one left off. Gotcha. And even if the beta doesn't come around anytime soon, I'm still going to keep an eye on this project and see how far it goes. This was my favourite game as a kid, so to see it revived and to see so much work going into it really gives me a spark of hope, and I'm sure other people on this forum would say the same.
