(I'm having a day where I get overly obsessed with animals)
What animal do you want to be? Is it because of their majesty, their abilities, their lifespan, etc.?
Personally, I would be one of the following:
1. lynx
(so long as it is existent and not Iberian)
reason: Lynxes have a magnificent and unique appearance that differentiates themselves from the crowd. The stubbed tail, tufted ears, grand reflective eyes, "beard", colorful pelt -- everything. To me, a lynx appeals more than a well-tended garden in spring. They are not just a simple plain-and-go cat. Lynxes are solitary, evasive, illusive, and they fit my game. I adore lynxes more than I adore humans.
* If you wonder why I wouldn't want to be an Iberian lynx, Iberian lynx kits engage in littermate violence at 30 to 60 days old. They're a specialist in the European rabbit and have adapted to hunt that primarily, and cannot adapt as well as the other lynxes. That's why.
(if you don't think they're cool watch this : >)
2. wolf
(I had always wanted to be a wolf when I was younger)
reason: Wolves are one of nature's finest creations. They are social pack animals, bound by hierarchy and dominance. "Man's best friend" evolved from this creature humanity has entitled to be "evil" (referring to the past, I'm not a wolfaboo fam). Thus, it is inevitable for me to say I couldn't ever come to respect the wolf. What is it like through those two round eyes? What is it like to run through the snow in winter on four legs, knowing your packmates are there with you, breathing, anticipating the hunt in the stillness of the world? I could never answer this question unless I lived with wolves myself - that's for sure.
3. Pallas cat
(hail Pallas cat)
reason: Pallas cats are considered to be the most expressive cats in the world. With their fluffy, dense coats and round pupils, who wouldn't want to be one?
