Before I go on, let it be known that this post is NOT, in any way, directed towards one person or group. This point of this post is not to harass or ridicule anyone. That said, I'll continue.
The cancellation of this project was bound to happen. I, along with a few others, had already known it would happen soon. This project had a lot of promise and while still not much is known about the whereabouts of it in the first place, it cannot be said that there was no effort put into it at all, which is sadly something I'm seeing rather often. Upon the cancellation of this project, I expected a lot more "You tried your best." responses. The majority of responses I'm seeing are, "He quit on us!" "Where's the proof?" I understand these feelings, but blaming the team and or Josh for just dropping the project because they "didn't even try" simply isn't right.
I can agree on a few of these points. The way Josh left us in the dark with no communication whatsoever really let a lot of us down. I don't mean to throw any shade here, but I'll be honest; None of them owed you anything. They did not swear their lives to you to bring back Free Realms; They are human and they have daily responsibilities just the same as you do. Aside from the program itself; This forum was made to connect us together, be it to discuss the FRR project, or reminisce about the original Free Realms. Much work was put into this forum as I can tell. And to the moderators and admins; It is a thankless job. I have never been a moderator or an admin, but I know that this job can be a lot to deal with. There are many complaints, but you're all just trying to do your best, but that often doesn't get much thanks.
All that said.. while there were a few bumps, and things that made many users upset, it cannot be said that effort was not made. Thank you to those who wholeheartedly worked on this project.
