I have a question.
Free Realms has been closed for, what, almost three years now? I would confidently say hundreds, if not thousands, miss the Realms, and want it back. Constantly, since the Realms' sunset, people have been trying to bring it back.
So why hasn't Daybreak?

Thats a question even we don't know the answer too. The company just simply does not want to revive it, at all. Many people have asked on twitter and have gotten the same response, "We have no plans on reviving the game." As for why... The world may never know.

Surely a game keeping this amount of interest this long after closing would be easy money Thank you replying, anyhow

Daybreak already has H1Z1,(their most popular game) and I don't think they want to create or even bring back a game since H1Z1 is their top priority and their most profitable game thus far.

Well it may not be AS profitable as their other IP's Also, money aside, the devs at DayBreak are still humans, they went into the (at the time, unstable and uncertain) game making industry because that was something they enjoyed doing, and after years of managing Free Realms it's totally rational for them to want to move on to another game and enjoy themselves.

I'm not sure this is correct. When SOE went bust or closed down for whatever reason, I thought they made a ton of developers redundant. When Daybreak bought the remains of SOE, I don't think they reappointed many of the developers. Ergo, Free Realms is a totally new game to manage for a majority of Daybreak

The only reason they gave is the following: They want a more mature audience for their games and whatnot. Besides that, there was no other reason as to why they refuse to resurrect Free Realms. I personally agree with this business decision, as developing a game aimed at teens/tweens has much more barriers of what you can and can't do than a mature game. Plus, no children to babysit which is always nice.

H1Z1 is like a zombie game, if you know what DAYZ is, its like that, its a zombie/survival game, and its enjoyable to say the least, its more of a all gamer community type of thing, and is always high in views on things like Twitch, its not a tight bond thing and you won't really be with people for long because there isn't something like friend list, its just like free for all.

Makes me wonder the point of why it's an "MMO"...
