Introduction
Hello everybody!
The old forum has been closed along with my thread, so I post it again here.
This is my attempt at re-making the Free Realms Trading Card Game. It can be played through OCTGN, which is a free online tabletop simulator, used for many different card games such as Magic: the Gathering or Dragon Ball Super. In addition to playing normally there's also a so-called 'Sealed' game variant, which means each player gets some card packs before the game and they have to make a deck just with these cards.
Currently only the first two card sets (out of five) are available. However, since the first sets were larger, it equals to almost 60% of all cards.
OCTGN is only made for Windows so if you want to play on Linux or Mac, you'll need a virtual machine or some software to run Windows-only applications.
Discord
I have created a Discord server for this project – if you have any questions or want to find an opponent, this is the best place for that:
discord.gg/APSEFNZ
How to get it to work
1. Sign up on OCTGN
www.octgn.net/Account/Register
2. Download OCTGN
www.octgn.net/Home/GetOctgn
3. Run OCTGN and log into the account you've just made
If you get an error, try restarting OCTGN.
4. Open the "Games Manager" tab
5. Click "Add Game Feed", fill it as shown below, then click "Add"
Name: Free Realms TCG
Feed Url/Path:
Password: (leave it blank)
6. Click "All" and switch it to "Free Realms TCG"
7. Click "Install"
8. Now you only need to find an opponent!
Playing for the first time might be a little confusing, so it's advised that you ask for help someone who's already familiar with the interface. It's best to use the Discord server mentioned above (discord.gg/APSEFNZ).
If you get an error while opening or joining a game, try restarting OCTGN
